The many positive responses to the three revealing articles on the collapse of global economies because of the mishandling of the virus has been very encouraging. The two individuals who did not appreciate the information provided an interesting view of those who support the current handlings: One wrote at considerable length about how bad the US President is—whereas the articles were about the pandemic, not the US presidency.

The other, whose email I regret I cannot find to reply to him personally, said that while he had been following the Institute for years, he now claimed the writer’s reputation was ruined as a result of all the “conspiracy theories” given in the articles. Luckily, reputations are a) of no real concern to the writer, and b) they are neither built nor destroyed based on the views of one individual.

But more particularly, it was disappointing to have hundreds of facts countered with a vague allegation of “conspiracy theory.” The hope was that a logical and clear discussion could take place so both parties could gain from some intelligent exchange of information. I have found that anyone who responds to facts with the ultimate put-down of “conspiracy theory” has a paucity of facts to offer in exchange and an unwillingness to expand his or her horizons. If this individual happens to be reading this, feel free to reengage, but first examine the 350 links and hundreds of facts presented in those three articles.

I must apologize for spending time on this pandemic when butler matters are more germane to the newsletter, but if there be a single butler, employer, or guest who has not been impacted greatly by the way the economies of the world have been driven into the ground by the responses to this virus, then I would surely like to know who it is! As such, the subject is worthy of discussion even in this organ. Not that we plan to discuss it further—the message has been stated, do with it what you will! There is plenty of other butler information to dig into in this issue and we hope you enjoy it.

Wishing you well.

International Butlers’ Day

The Institute is happy to participate in International Butlers’ Day as a way of forwarding the profession’s image the world over and of allowing us all the opportunity to celebrate the profession and occasion in different ways. Ms. Josephine Ive of Magnum’s Academy in Australia came up with the idea. #internationalbutlersday

The Pandemic that Isn’t

As much as we are probably all fed up with hearing about this pandemic, it is something that is still very much front and center in our lives (some of us hunkering down with employers, others out of work), so deserves some mention. Shortly, we will be sending a lengthy article being published internationally, regarding the whole subject, and what you can do about it; because all is not as it seems and we need to do something about it if we ever expect life to return to the normal with which we probably were all quite happy before it disappeared.

The Modern Butlers’ Journal, May 2020, Message from the Chairman

As butlers, we care about people: Certainly about our employers, but also the staff we rely on to keep the estate running, the vendors, and by extension, their families, the police who keep order, the shopkeepers, etc. In the same vein, we might well care about all humans and other life forms that survive on this narrow band around the world, because the better we all do, the better we all do.

So it is that I have to wonder about the best efforts to help us through this apparent pandemic. Are we really on the right track?

Butlers and estate managers have reported to me that many staff have been let go and skeleton staff are looking after the principles. Hotel butlers, general managers, and industry experts have said that 95% of the staff have been let go, often unpaid in countries where there is no unemployment coverage, and that if and when this all ends, half of their workplaces may well not re-open. Then there are reports of increased suicides, physical abuse at home, drug abuse increasing, as the financial, mental, and spiritual pressure increase.

Yes, there are silver linings—there is more time to spend with families, to study and engage in other at-home pursuits—and people seem to have more time and care for each other. But when the future is so uncertain, when life as we know it evaporates, what future do people have? And if no future, then the life disappears from within us as our dreams are replaced by worry about basic survival.

Where my attention perks up is when enough medical voices have raised doubt on the official narrative that this is a very dangerous threat for which there is no solution and we need to be very fearful and continue as we are—and particularly when these voices are then silenced by the government,  social media or mainstream media. If the official narrative were the truth, then they would have no difficulty in having people see it despite others arguing against it.

When someone silences perfectly competent voices, then there is a hidden agenda at work.

Let’s look at just a handful of the voices that have been silenced or shouted down into silence by an onslaught of media attacks. The US State of South Dakota treated many Covid-19 patients with  Hydroxychloroquine combined with azithromycin and zinc and very few deaths resulted. In other areas, Intravenous vitamin C is also reported to have worked, yet the media and government bodies are shutting down any studies and application of these solutions, and removing all social media and Internet mentions of anything that strays from the narrative that “this invisible menace is very dangerous and all of life as we know it has changed forever: be very, very afraid.”

Case in point, two Emergency Room doctors revealed how their clinics in California were witnessing a large number of Covid-19 cases with no-to-few symptoms, and very few deaths. Their video went viral, 5-million views within a few days and then was removed from YouTube, per their policy of removing anything which contradicts the official narrative.

Or how about the success Sweden has had with no lockdowns—many people catch it, but few die.

Does this add up to a very dangerous virus? Or is the solution being enforced by governments the real danger, in terms of collapsed economies, shattered lives, upset/confused people?

There are no doubt as many agendas, both hidden and open, regarding this pandemic as there are companies and individuals who would benefit from a vaccine being enforced on the worldwide population, to governments of certain countries to political parties, etc., etc. Even the WHO has an agenda, including trying to levy a 10% tax on all countries to “fight the virus.”

A small amount of research, for instance, will reveal that vaccinations for viruses do not work, as viruses mutate before any vaccine can be brought to the market; and there is a very large body of evidence—very much suppressed—that vaccines have significant toxins in them that can potentially cause additional medical problems, such as autism and death. Yet this is what the official narrative is trying to bring about, in the US at least, and at the WHO level, while squashing any mention of other treatments that are already proven to work in large numbers.

Whatever the who and why behind all this may be, while I do appreciate the constant refrain that our own safety is of great importance that is used to justify all these measures occurring, I do object to having the truth hidden in order to push an agenda which claims to, but does not on further research, actually include the short- and long-term health and well-being of the peoples of Earth. I do not like to see family, friends, colleagues, clients and neighbors  being forced into situations that do not benefit them. And certainly not when the entire world population is now suffering the same fate.

For those who have bought the official lines that this virus is lethal and a calamity, I offer the oft-quoted words of President Roosevelt from his inaugural address in 1933: “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

You are an intelligent person—presumably with time on your hands—why not think for yourself about this matter that is impacting your life so greatly? Start your search with these articles, chosen at random, that you will never read in the social media or mainstream media, and make your own decision. You owe it to yourself, and indeed, humanity.

Spread the word, educate politicians who will listen, and insist that we move away from this abyss of a police-state mentality protecting us from a hostile world. It is evil people who make life seem hostile. Left to their own devices, the vast majority of us get along just fine, seek the truth that will improve conditions, and enjoy life.
