Origami Buttlerfly

by Kobi Gutman

Origami is the well-known Japanese art of paper folding. Origami paper is square and comes in various colors, patterns and finishes. We can use this art to add a nice touch to a turndown amenity, birthday décor, etc.

Here is an easy and beautiful butterfly fold that I use for a little extra touch in a flower arrangement

1. As a preparation step we are going to fold in half and then unfold the paper – vertically, horizontally and diagonally (both diagonals) to create creases. This will make the next fold easy to do.

2. Bring together the middle points of all four sides of the paper.

3. This is what you should have produced

4. Fold up the 2 top flaps

5. Turn the paper over

6. Turn the top flap upwards so that the tip is slightly higher then the top of the paper

7. Turn the tip over to the other side

8. Turn the paper over and fold it backwards

9. And here is your butterfly!
