I am a Traditional British Butler born in Brighton, Sussex. I still live in the U.K. currently and am married with two grown sons.
Following a career in management, I decided to start a new chapter in my life at age 50. I trained at the International Butler Academy in the Netherlands, finishing top of my class and graduating with Merit and Honors.
Over the past five years, my career as a butler has been varied with positions in both private and corporate service, honing my skills with a cross section of employers.
I am formally trained as well as quick thinking and resourceful in running the day-to-day operations of the home. I am also trustworthy, discreet, dedicated and respectful of boundaries, focused on first class service at all times.
My work experience has covered everything from valeting - laying out clothes, packing suitcases and morning wake-up duties - to all forms of table service and settings.
Whilst working in Private Service, I have been responsible for such as purchasing and care of fine cigars, household security, car care and management, the care and service of fine wines and champagne, cleaning silver, flower arranging and making travel arrangements.
Within the Corporate and Hotel/Private Club sector, I have been involved in event planning -- both formal and informal -- waiting at table, wine cellar management and VIP Butler Services.
I have hands-on experience in supervising and managing staff teams of up to 25-plus staff and work well both individually and in a team environment to get the job done. I am results orientated and always look for ways to improve the service I provide. I am also first aid trained and comfortable with both children and pets (particularly dogs). I hold a clean, valid UK driver's license and am computer literate with most systems.
I seek a formal Traditional Butler / Valet position in a private household or would consider a 5 star Hotel Butler position where the majority of these skills would be useful. In return I offer friendly but not familiar, exceptional traditional butler service above and beyond requirements, always striving to deliver that true WOW factor.

I began my thirty-year service career upon graduation from Purdue University with a B.S. degree in Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management. I learned the food service business during my almost decade long tenure with Henrici's Restaurants of Chicago. I then partnered in a restaurant venture, where I was responsible for over 200 staff and management personnel.

I eventually sold my interest in this restaurant chain and began the next phase of my service career, country club management. I continued my club management work until the call of private in-home service beckoned in my hometown of Indianapolis.

Throughout my career I have been directly involved in the service of fine foods. As event coordinator and catering director I have operated and planned events for intimate groups of two to ten people, as well as dinner parties containing guest lists well into the several hundreds. My involvement over the years in wine and spirit management has rewarded me with a comfortable working knowledge of the beverage world.

My experience in working directly for a Forbes One-hundred member has given me the unusual opportunity of serving guests of distinction, such as a U.S. president and presidential candidates, European royalty, high profile business leaders and film celebrities. Over the last several years, I have acted as a personal aide, pet and house sitter, chauffeur, butler, assistant house manager, as well as household manager for people of affluence. I am a certified Gulf Stream flight attendant and have traveled the world in the service of others. I am a non-smoker, enjoy caring for seniors and children, and can pass any security check.

I am looking for a full-time, long-term position as a household manager, butler, traveling companion / aide-de-camp, or a blend of these, with a mutually caring and respecting family.
